INSTALLATION – Social Livingroom

The installation plays with the interaction and the social behavior of the audience. Concept behind is to make people aware of there social behaviors when it comes down to watching TV or listening music together. What feels more social?

Principe of working is, if one person is going to sit on the chair in front of the TV, the TV will turn on and through speakers in the chair the person will get isolated from his surrounding. On the TV a edited program is to see and will give the person the feeling as if someone else is zapping through the channels.

When a second person is going to sit on the other chair, immediately the TV and the sound in the chair will turn off and a lamp between the two person will tun on and in the background soft atmosphere music will fill the room.
